ImageHot coffee, breakfast, good company and the presence of the Holy Spirit; all in the company of fellow Christian men.  What more could a guy ask for to start his month?

The Men of Bethlehem meet monthly to deepen their faith through learning, discussion and fellowship with one another and sometimes with guest speakers.

Meeting locations can be: Panera on McKnight Road, the Club Sandwich & Deli in Sharpsburg, the church lounge and sometimes the Shaler Intermediate School for the November Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast.

Men are welcome the first Saturday of the month, check the calendar for details.

The Men’s Group met on 2009 March 07 and talked about the impact of the current economical crisis on us as individuals and as a church.  We discussed various ways that our Men’s Group can respond to specific needs.  One project we talked about was to initiate a data base of people in the church as to their professions and employers.  The purpose would be to provide a network of contacts to assist those who might be looking for employment in particular fields or firms.  Dave Martincek agreed to lead this activity…if you are interesting in supporting, please contact Dave. Other upcoming activities:

In our 2009 January meeting, Bob Graham provided a nice template for group study of scripture passages.  Key questions for the group to consider after reading a selected passage are:

  1. What does the reading have to say about who God is?
  2. What does the passage have to say about who we are?
  3. What does the passage say about how we are to live together?
  4. What does God want us to do?  How does it impact our personal ministries and the broader ministries of BELC?
